About Paint Cost Check

Paint Cost Check is an independent decision tool for homeowners who want to understand paint quantity, project scope, labor, and a written quote before choosing what to do next.

Published Reviewed

Why this tool exists

Most quick paint tools stop at gallons. Many cost sites publish one national average without showing the room geometry, prep, surfaces, coats, labor hours, or business assumptions behind it. Paint Cost Check combines those decisions in one calculator and publishes the formulas so a visitor can challenge the result instead of accepting a mysterious number.

The calculator is deliberately not a lead form. It does not require a name, email address, telephone number, street address, contractor identity, or account. The room measurements and quote amount stay in the browser in the current version.

Who publishes it

Paint Cost Check is published by Gallimore Software and edited by Nick Gallimore. Nick is responsible for the product, research presentation, calculation model, and corrections. He is not represented as a painting contractor, building inspector, industrial hygienist, engineer, or legal adviser.

No paint manufacturer, contractor marketplace, government agency, retailer, or paid expert has reviewed or endorsed the calculator. Published sources support specific facts; uncited productivity, price, prep, texture, and markup ranges are clearly labeled as Paint Cost Check modeling assumptions.

How we earn trust

Show the method

The methodology explains every production formula, input limit, rounding choice, reference point, and known exclusion used by the live calculator.

Separate source from judgment

Manufacturer coverage, government safety guidance, and public economic data are distinguished from our own planning ranges.
