Publisher and scope
Paint Cost Check is published by Gallimore Software. This policy covers paintcostcheck.com and the information processed when someone visits the site, uses the calculator, or contacts the publisher.
Calculator inputs
Calculations run in the browser. The current calculator does not submit room dimensions, door and window counts, selected surfaces, prep choices, regional factor, or contractor quote amounts to a Paint Cost Check database. No account is required.
Please do not send contractor private information, payment details, or sensitive personal information when reporting a calculation issue.
Hosting, security, and ordinary logs
The site is delivered through Cloudflare and hosted on infrastructure operated for Gallimore Software. Like most web services, those systems may process standard technical data such as IP address, request time, requested URL, browser information, referring page, response status, and security signals. This information is used to deliver the site, prevent abuse, diagnose failures, and maintain security.
Google advertising and cookies
Advertising is not loaded until approved publisher and ad-unit identifiers are configured. If Google advertising is enabled, third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to serve, measure, and personalize ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve ads based on visits to Paint Cost Check and other sites.
Visitors can control personalized advertising through Google Ads Settings. They can also review industry opt-out choices at AboutAds. Google explains how it uses information from publisher sites on its partner-sites page. Other advertising vendors, if enabled, will be identified through the consent message or this policy and may offer their own opt-out controls.
Consent and regional privacy choices
Before personalized Google advertising is served to visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland, Paint Cost Check will use a Google-certified consent management platform integrated with the IAB Transparency and Consent Framework. The message will explain purposes and vendors and allow visitors to accept, reject, or manage available choices before consent-dependent advertising storage or processing occurs.
Where applicable U.S. state privacy rules require notices or opt-out choices, the site will use Google Privacy & messaging or another compliant mechanism. Browser-level privacy controls may also affect advertising behavior.
Analytics and product measurement
No third-party analytics tag is enabled in the current release. If analytics is introduced, this policy and the consent configuration will be updated before the tool is used for visitors who require consent. Paint Cost Check does not intentionally include room measurements, quote amounts, contact details, or contractor identity in analytics events.
Contact, retention, and requests
Email correspondence is retained as reasonably needed to answer the request, maintain records, or meet legal and security obligations. Paint Cost Check does not sell calculator inputs or contact details. The service is intended for a general adult home-improvement audience and is not directed to children under 13. We may update this policy as the product or legal requirements change. Effective July 25, 2026; last reviewed July 26, 2026.
